Active Yang

The active polarity, also called yang, positive, or masculine, covers the fire and air signs: Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. These six signs share an outward orientation. Their energy moves outward into the world through action, expression, and engagement. Everyone carries both polarities somewhere in their chart. Active signs tend to initiate rather than wait. They express themselves readily, reach toward people and situations, and direct their attention outward. Fire does this through enthusiasm and drive, air through ideas and communication. A person with strong active emphasis often comes across as expressive, spontaneous, and inclined to put themselves out into the world. The strength of the active polarity is its energy, openness, and willingness to engage.
