Black Moon Lilith

Black Moon Lilith is a calculated point rather than a physical body, the empty focus of the Moon's elliptical orbit, the spot farthest from the Earth (its apogee). It takes its name from Lilith, a figure of myth who refused to submit, and in astrology it represents the wild, untamed part of a person, the instinct that will not be made tame or acceptable. By sign, Black Moon Lilith describes the style of a person's raw, primal nature. By house, it shows the area of life where they feel the pull of the forbidden, where they may have been shamed or silenced, and where they reclaim strength by refusing to apologize for who they are.
