Chiron

Chiron is a small icy body that orbits between Saturn and Uranus, discovered in 1977 and known in astrology as the wounded healer. It marks a place of deep, lasting hurt, often a wound that never fully closes, and at the same time the source of a person's ability to help others heal. The two belong together: what wounds a person most can become what they understand best. By sign, Chiron describes the flavor of the core wound and the kind of healing a person can offer. By house, it shows the area of life where the hurt is felt, where a person may seem inadequate or out of place no matter how capable they are elsewhere.
