Earth

Earth is one of the four elements, the temperament of body and matter. Its signs are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, which share a grounded, reliable, sensible nature. Earth is concerned with the physical and the real, with what can be touched, built, and used. A person with strong earth is steady and capable, most at ease working with something tangible and producing results that hold. Earth belongs to the yin polarity, drawing its energy inward. Each earth sign carries the element differently. Taurus is the earth of comfort and steady value, Virgo the earth of careful refinement and service, and Capricorn the earth of ambition and structure. The gift of earth is patience, endurance, and skill with the material world. Too much of it turns rigid, showing up as stubbornness, materialism, or a dullness that loses sight of meaning and feeling. Too little leaves a person ungrounded and impractical, full of plans that never quite meet the ground. Earth works best when it builds real, useful things while staying open to change.
