Horary

Horary is a branch of astrology that answers a specific question by casting a chart for the exact moment the question is asked and understood. Rather than reading a birth chart, the astrologer reads the chart of the question itself, treating that moment as the seed from which the answer can be drawn. It is one of the oldest and most rule-bound forms of astrology. In a horary chart, the person asking and the thing they ask about are each assigned to a house and its ruling planet. The astrologer then studies how those planets move toward or away from each other, along with their dignity and condition, to judge the outcome. A lost object, a job offer, or the fate of a relationship can each be examined this way. Horary is precise and practical, aimed at clear questions with real stakes rather than general guidance. It rewards a sincere question and a well-noted moment. The technique draws on traditional rules that have changed little over centuries.
