The Midheaven, often shortened to MC from the Latin Medium Coeli, is the highest point of the chart, where the meridian crosses the zodiac near the top. In quadrant house systems such as Placidus it marks the cusp of the tenth house, though in whole sign and equal house systems it can fall in a neighboring house instead.
