Out Of Bounds

Out of Bounds describes a planet that has moved beyond the Sun's maximum range of declination, past about twenty-three and a half degrees north or south of the celestial equator. Declination measures how far a body sits above or below the equator, and the Sun never exceeds this limit. A planet that goes further is said to be out of bounds, traveling outside the normal boundaries the Sun sets. An out of bounds planet tends to act in unusual, extreme, or unconventional ways. Freed from the Sun's usual limits, its energy can be exceptional and original, but also unruly and hard to contain. The matters it governs may express themselves boldly, brilliantly, or outside the rules that normally apply. This condition is most common with the Moon and the faster planets, and it adds a wild, boundary-breaking quality wherever it appears. A person with an out of bounds planet often has a streak of genius or rebellion connected to that planet. The work of an out of bounds planet is to channel its exceptional energy in a way that uses its originality without losing all sense of limit.
